The historic Hotel Phillips of downtown Kansas City is seeking a detail oriented, leadership minded and quality focused leader to join our Housekeeping Executive team. The hotel is currently getting ready for a lot of exciting changes, and is focused on bringing guests back in time in both history, and with service. Owned by Arbor Lodging, Arbor Lodging is a leading hotel investment and management company with a growing portfolio of hotels throughout the United States, Mexico, and the Caribbean. Requirements

High school diploma or educational equivalent is preferred.
3+ Years in housekeeping for hotels or educational equivalent.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job including lifting 20 lbs is required.

Responsibilities

Administering and coordinating housekeeping functions in assigned sections, as well as assuming all Housekeeping Manager functions in their absence.
Inspect Room Attendants’ work performance within assigned section on a daily basis to ensure the standards and productivity levels are being met and maintained.
In the absence of the Housekeeping Manager or Assistant Housekeeping Manager, inspect all V.I.P. rooms and report their availability to the Front Office, according to hotel standards.
Oversee the closing of the floors at the end of the day, ensuring the Room Attendants' carts are clean and restocked.
Ensure records of daily assignments are completed, signed off and turned into the Housekeeping Office on time.
Maintain key control.
Monitor cleanliness and orderliness of Room Attendants' carts, linen closets, control closets, stairways and landings.
Oversee the daily assignment of duties, ensuring Room Attendants and House Attendants carry a work assignment.
Report on progress of all out-of-order rooms under the Housekeeping Department's supervision to the Guest Services Manager, according to standards.
Collaborate with Maintenance staff to communicate out-of-order rooms.
Assist with training of Housekeeping staff.
Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
