Requirements

  • College Degree required or equivalent work experience and license.
  • 2+ years of prior related work experience functioning in a similar healthcare management role, within a similar industry/work environment is essential.
  • 2+ years of prior management or supervisory experience required.
  • Licensed RN, LPN, or LVN and must adhere to all requirements to have and maintain a license, including CEU completion and timely renewal.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Must complete required Background clearances, health screening, and provide negative TB test results within 7 days of employment (must be within the last 6 months).
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license and valid insurance or reliable method of transportation for resident assessments.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, and Outlook) and operating standard office equipment.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak, write, and read English.
  • Must possess the ability to make sound, independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action, and to remain calm during stressful or emergency situations.
  • Must possess the ability to always deal tactfully and professionally with personnel, residents, family members, and guests.
  • Must possess strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Human Services, or the Health Care field is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the overall implementation of clinical health and wellness services in the community.
  • Serves as a liaison between families, hospital personnel, physicians, community organizations, and other related service agencies to provide quality care to MBK Senior Living residents.
  • Collaborates with the Director of Sales and the Executive Director (ED) to set the stage for MBK Senior Living to become the senior living provider of choice.
  • Coordinates care with outside agencies, communicating with families, managing a clinical team, and developing personalized plans of care for residents’ needs, then communicating them to the care team.
  • Interviews, hires, trains, sets performance goals and timelines, monitors performance, and provides coaching for Medication Technicians.
  • Conducts and coordinates assessments/evaluations of potential residents and makes recommendations for admission in accordance with current rules, regulations, and community policies and procedures.
  • Conducts and/or approves routinely scheduled re-assessments and change of condition assessments promptly.
  • Drafts initial Individualized Service Plans (ISP) and updates based on schedule and change of condition for residents and partners with ED to review with responsible parties and/or residents.
  • Alerts the ED, family members, and others (as necessary) of any changes in residents’ physical or emotional health, and institutes interventions as appropriate.
  • Assesses the community’s ability to meet resident needs under licensure and collaborates with the ED on plans to retain the residents or move them to a higher level of care when necessary.
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships and effective communication with families and service providers.
  • Trains, assigns, and supervises Medication Technicians.
  • Performs all administrative duties accurately and timely, including expense reporting, submission of invoices, team member evaluations, etc.
  • Coordinates prescription orders with doctors’ offices, as well as pharmacy delivery of medications, including oversight of the central storage, tracking, and delivery of medications, and ensuring the Medication Administration Records are completed according to company policy and State regulations.
  • Responsible for the overall safety, health, and wellness of residents.
  • Ensures that clinical and care-related regulations and policies are closely monitored and followed.
  • Ensures that physician orders are carried out properly.
  • Aids in the community marketing effort through positive interactions, acting as a liaison between the community and families/outside health service providers.
  • Acts as Manager on Duty when necessary.
  • Collaborates with Department Directors on resident care and caregiver oversight.
  • Collaborates with the Regional Director of Health Services to ensure compliance with MBK policy and procedure and State Regulatory Guidelines.
  • Maintains a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests following established safety standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Understands and complies with Federal, State, and local regulations, and company policies and procedures concerning the department.
  • Promotes and leads with a spirit of teamwork and open communication in accordance with the MBK principles and core values.
  • Manages labor and other expenses to align with the community budget.
  • Performs other job duties or special projects as assigned or requested by Supervisor and/or Regional Team.
