About The Position

Docplanner is seeking a Director of Growth Marketing to build an AI-first paid patient acquisition engine. This role will focus on automating campaign management, content creation, and experimentation to minimize manual work and maximize leverage. The objective is to compensate for current marketplace organic imbalances and provide/monetize additional patients for doctors. This is not a traditional performance marketing role; the focus is on leveraging AI for campaign execution, creative generation, testing, and decision-making to achieve maximum output with minimal human intervention. The company is investing in building a world-class internal paid patient marketing team due to its strong SEO position, significant growth in Marketing 360 services, new monetization models, successful distribution of bookings, and the rapid advancements in AI and automation in marketing systems. The ambition is to build the most advanced AI-driven patient acquisition engine in healthcare globally.

Requirements

  • +5 years in performance/growth marketing in a marketplace on the consumer side.
  • Track record of replacing manual marketing workflows with automated or AI-driven systems.
  • Deep interest in AI and a strong point of view on how it will transform performance marketing.
  • Experience owning +3M Eur global media budget.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Google and Meta at scale.
  • Proven experience running multi-market acquisition.
  • Experience managing teams/complex organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end patient acquisition strategy across paid channels and all countries.
  • Define growth targets, CAC/LTV models, and scalable acquisition frameworks.
  • Balance short-term performance with long-term brand and market expansion.
  • Identify new growth levers, channels, and partnerships.
  • Decide where to scale, defend, or experiment based on market maturity.
  • Own day-to-day performance across Google, Meta, Influencers, affiliates, and partnerships, and potentially upper funnel channels.
  • Manage budget, pacing, and performance targets.
  • Ensure strong execution across multiple countries in Europe and Latam.
  • Build an AI-driven acquisition system from scratch, using AI capabilities and partnering with the tech team.
  • Design and implement an AI-driven acquisition system where the majority of campaign management, creative production, testing, and optimization is automated.
  • Partner with data teams to improve attribution models, experimentation velocity, and performance reporting.
  • Lead pilot programs for new acquisition channels.
  • Turn pilots into scalable playbooks and products.
  • Kill experiments quickly when ROI is not there.
  • Build the function from the ground up, including systems, processes, and team, with full ownership.
  • Create and lead a small, high-leverage team (channel managers, specialists, content creators - potentially AI agents) to accomplish the mission.
  • Coach and manage the team, ensuring strong talent density, innovation, speed, and performance.
  • Set clear goals, KPIs, and operating cadences.
  • Work with the AI team to create patient marketing with available tools.
  • Work closely with Product & UX on conversion optimization and monetization frameworks.
  • Work closely with GTM leaders (Customer Organization and Country Managers) on marketplace health and churn prevention.
  • Align with brand on messaging and creative strategy.
