We are looking for a Director, Global 3PM Sourcing to lead and shape our global third-party manufacturing strategy across Fiskars Garden and Creative products. This is a newly created leadership role with significant global scope and influence. You will lead a team of sourcing professionals across Europe, the US, and China while partnering closely with Brand, Commercial, R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and other functions to build a competitive, resilient, innovative supplier network. This role is about more than sourcing products. It is about shaping how Fiskars brings new ideas to market, creates value, builds strategic partnerships, and grows our business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience, ideally managing teams across multiple countries or regions.
  • Deep knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier management, procurement, and global supply chains.
  • Strong strategic negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute global sourcing strategies.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience working with third-party manufacturers and global supplier networks.
  • Ability to understand and discuss technical specifications and quality standards.
  • Strong understanding of global trade, ethical sourcing, and supply chain risk.
  • Experience with procurement tools, ERP systems, data analytics, or digital sourcing technologies.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong cultural awareness and the ability to work effectively across a diverse, global organization.
  • Full professional proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Global Sourcing Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive global third-party manufacturing strategy aligned with Fiskars' long-term business objectives. Lead the global Finished Goods sourcing organization and ensure effective execution of sourcing and commercialization strategies. Build a multi-year roadmap focused on cost optimization, supplier diversity, innovation, and supply chain resilience. Analyze global market trends, supplier capabilities, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities to inform sourcing strategy.
  • Lead & Develop a Global Team: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global sourcing team across Europe, the US, and China. Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and create an environment of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Build organizational capabilities and establish best practices in strategic sourcing.
  • Build Strategic Supplier Partnerships: Identify, evaluate, and onboard strategic third-party manufacturing partners. Build strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers and ensure alignment with Fiskars' quality, ethical, sustainability, and business standards. Lead supplier performance reviews and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement. Create opportunities for supplier innovation and involve strategic suppliers early in product development.
  • Drive Commercial Value: Partner closely with Brand Managers, Channel Business Development, R&D, designers, Quality, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to identify new product and category opportunities. Serve as a key sourcing partner in new product development and commercialization. Support the development of new commercial categories and range extensions that contribute to net sales growth. Use total cost of ownership, market intelligence, should-cost models, and data analytics to identify opportunities for value creation and cost reduction. Lead negotiations around pricing, contracts, terms, and service-level agreements.
  • Shape Make-or-Buy Strategy: Co-lead Fiskars' strategic Make-or-Buy Committee alongside Supply Chain, Sourcing Management, and Group Management. Evaluate internal manufacturing versus third-party manufacturing based on cost, quality, capacity, risk, and strategic considerations. Translate analysis and market intelligence into recommendations aligned with Fiskars' long-term strategy. Oversee implementation and track the business impact of Make-or-Buy decisions.
  • Strengthen Resilience, Sustainability & Compliance: Identify and mitigate geopolitical, financial, environmental, supplier, and supply chain risks. Develop contingency strategies to support supply continuity and resilience. Ensure sourcing activities meet ethical sourcing, regulatory, sustainability, and company standards. Drive sustainable sourcing practices and contribute to circular economy initiatives.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement & Digital Transformation: Identify new technologies, processes, and best practices that can improve sourcing effectiveness. Leverage digital sourcing tools, supplier relationship management systems, predictive analytics, and AI to improve decision-making and transparency. Establish meaningful KPIs across cost, supplier performance, quality, lead times, innovation, and sourcing effectiveness. Use data and insights to continuously improve the global sourcing organization.
