About The Position

The Director of Food & Beverage is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational execution, financial performance, and employee experience of Park City Hospitality's food and beverage operations. This role leads a diverse portfolio of restaurants, bars, banquets, conferences, hotel food and beverage operations, experiential offerings, and supporting functions, while partnering closely with resort and enterprise leadership to deliver exceptional guest experiences. The Director is accountable for driving revenue growth, maximizing profitability, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring operational excellence across all outlets. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Culinary Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7+ years of progressive food and beverage leadership experience.
  • Multi-unit restaurant or resort food and beverage management experience.
  • Demonstrated financial management and budget accountability experience.
  • Proven ability to lead large teams and deliver operational results.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical skills, communication, and leadership capability.
  • Working knowledge of food safety, sanitation, liquor compliance, and risk-management requirements.
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as business needs require.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the strategic vision for Park City Hospitality food and beverage operations.
  • Lead managers and supervisors across multiple outlets and operational disciplines.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish operational priorities aligned with resort and enterprise objectives.
  • Partner with resort leadership to support guest satisfaction and overall business performance.
  • Maintain full accountability for food and beverage revenue, expenses, labor, and profitability.
  • Develop annual operating and capital budgets and manage performance against established targets.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, optimize labor utilization, and strengthen financial results.
  • Analyze business trends and performance metrics to guide decisions and operational improvements.
  • Support long-range planning and capital investment initiatives, including maintenance of a multi-year capital plan.
  • Drive service excellence and guest satisfaction through effective operational leadership.
  • Ensure consistent execution of Vail Resorts food and beverage standards across all operations.
  • Oversee restaurant and bar operations, hotel food and beverage, banquets, conferences, special events, and seasonal programming.
  • Monitor quality, food safety, sanitation, liquor licensing, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with Lodging, Mountain Operations, Recreation, Sales, and other resort partners to deliver a seamless guest experience.
  • Recruit, develop, engage, and retain top talent across the food and beverage organization.
  • Create a culture of coaching, feedback, recognition, professional development, and accountability.
  • Lead succession planning and strengthen leadership capability across year-round and seasonal teams.
  • Partner with Human Resources and Finance on workforce planning and staffing strategies.
  • Partner with Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Sales, Procurement, and Accounting to achieve business objectives.
  • Maintain productive relationships with vendors, distributors, homeowner associations, and community partners.
  • Support group business, resort events, community partnerships, and destination programming.
  • Represent Park City Hospitality in cross-functional planning and execution.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health regulations, licensing requirements, and safety standards.
  • Promote a culture of safety, sustainability, and risk awareness across all operations.
  • Maintain readiness for incident response and operational continuity planning.
