About The Position

We are looking for a successful Food & Beverage Director with multi-venue experience to join Virgin Hotels. Virgin Hotels is a culture that believes in action and creating amazing experiences for our guests. The F&B Director will be responsible for ensuring that all food and beverage areas, including restaurants, room service, and special events, run as flawlessly as possible. This role requires a strong understanding of execution steps, practical considerations like cost, budgets, timing, and schedules, as well as strong people leadership, development, and mentorship skills. The ideal candidate will be willing to roll up their sleeves, have fun, be full of creative ideas, possess strong e-commerce skills, and have a love of food and beverage. A quirky sense of humor and an entrepreneurial approach are also highly valued.

Requirements

  • Current, legal and unrestricted ability to work in the USA.
  • Minimum 5 years of Food and Beverage multi-outlet hotel supervisory/management experience.
  • Previous experience with re-concepting outlets.
  • Ability to compute accurate mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate in English with guests, management/co-workers, both in person and on the telephone.
  • Proficient computer knowledge.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Previous hospitality and multi-venue experience in your skillset, whether that is in hotels, bars or restaurants.
  • Great team player with the ability to create excellent working relationships and help lead, mentor and develop members of their team.
  • Creativity and innovation with the ability to think outside the box and approach all issues with a completely fresh approach.
  • Highly organized, anticipating needs and over delivering wherever possible.

Responsibilities

  • Bring the Virgin Hotels food & beverage vision, with an eye on overall customer experience.
  • Work closely with other members of the team to deliver a Virgin-branded experience that seamlessly incorporates fantastic food, delicious drinks and superb service.
  • Manage complexities, whether in budgeting, scheduling, or dealing with training standards.
  • Input and access data in various computer systems.
  • Understand guest inquiries and provide clear, concise responses.
  • Work with others like a rock star, while constantly advocating for your guests.
  • Communicate clearly in verbal and written English.
  • Maintain strong systems for training.
  • Work cohesively with other departments and co-workers as part of a team.
  • Focus attention on details.
  • Engage, motivate, and develop teams across diverse operational areas.
  • Collaborate with Culinary, Sales, Events, and Hotel Leadership.
