About The Position

Clear Creek Tahoe is a private golf community offering over 375 homes and homesites, an 18-hole golf course, and a collection of family-friendly amenities including a clubhouse, a lake and ski house, guest cottages, a pro-shop, and Summit Camp. The Director of Food & Beverage will be a dynamic, visible, and accessible leader for staff and members. This position is responsible for leading and coordinating F&B operations, overseeing all outlets from casual to fine dining, and managing Club events. The role involves direct supervision of front-of-house staff and collaboration with the culinary team to ensure exceptional service for members and guests.

  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage, banquets, club events, and wine and craft cocktails.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities.
  • Available to work flexible hours, including extended hours at times, especially during peak season.

  • Culinary experience or education is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise all front-of-house food and beverage activities, including planning and execution of club and member-sponsored events.
  • Ensure proper staffing and schedules in all F&B venues.
  • Formalize training programs for new employees, ongoing training for current staff, and foster a strong, positive culture within the service staff.
  • Assure that member/guest satisfaction standards are consistently attained.
  • Manage the club's point of sale system and train staff on its proper utilization.
  • Monitor all sales reports to identify trends and concerns.
  • Manage inventory and maintain a robust liquor and wine program.
  • Monitor labor, ensure timely and accurate payroll procedures, and evaluate scheduled and actual labor hours and costs.
  • Help develop new club events and creative marketing strategies for them.
  • Interact with members to answer questions, solve problems, oversee services, and ensure cleanliness to maximize member satisfaction.
  • Receive and resolve complaints from club members, guests, and team members.
  • Participate in regular facility inspections throughout F&B outlets to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and other standards are consistently attained.
  • Attend management and staff meetings as scheduled.
  • Undertake special projects as requested by the General Manager.
  • Monitor team member dress code as applicable.
  • Continuously seek ways to maximize service levels and ensure excellence in the member and guest dining experience.
  • Oversee the preparation of the front-of-house F&B annual budget, working closely with the GM and CFO.
  • Monitor financial reports/statements daily, weekly, and monthly, and take effective corrective action when necessary.
