About The Position

The Director of Food and Beverage Operations will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, guests, and subcontractors. This role acts as a liaison with various teams, including the partner’s operations team, the Levy team, and other departments, to ensure efficient operational performance. The Director will achieve daily sales targets, assigned cost objectives, and budget goals, while ensuring all safety, security, and hygiene standards are met, including enforcing responsible alcohol service policies. Additionally, the role involves ensuring timely completion of daily/service reports and compiling information for month-end closing. Key aspects of the role include paying close attention to detail, solving problems effectively, fostering collaboration and communication, building a positive culture, and maintaining a proactive approach. The Director will also use engagement strategies to recognize, motivate, and celebrate individuals and teams who deliver exceptional performance across the location. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of experience in food service management or equivalent.
  • Experience in catering and banquet services, including organizing large-scale events.
  • Experience managing multiple units.
  • Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, leadership, and accountability.
  • Strong experience in professional relationship management.
  • Financial management skills.
  • Experience working in a unionized, standardized environment with food safety standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in both French and English.
  • Availability to work regular extended shifts of 10 hours or more as required.
  • Must have a flexible schedule to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
