About The Position

Franklin Pierce University (FPU) is seeking an experienced financial aid professional to serve as the next Director of Financial Aid (DFA). The DFA will supervise a strong office staff which provides important financial services to all FPU students. Reporting to the VP of Enrollment Management, the DFA has oversight, direction, and management of the University’s federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs, including need-based grants, student loans, work-study, and other sources of financial aid. The Director will join the FPU family at a time of positive change and entrepreneurial focus.

Requirements

  • Experience in financial aid and related regulations in non-profit higher education environments is essential.
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Strengths in verbal and written communication.
  • Working knowledge of federal reporting, specifically FISAP, IPEDS, and FVT/GE.
  • Working knowledge of A-133 audits.
  • Experience with financial aid software systems, including annual setup, system automation, auto-packaging and more.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience at institutions that include NCAA division I or II models is highly desirable.
  • Ideally NH state aid programs.
  • Ideally VA benefits.
  • Preferably using PowerFaids and Jenzabar.
