At Haywood Regional Medical Center, you'll join a collaborative team dedicated to delivering exceptional care to the Haywood County community. Our full-service hospital offers a wide range of specialties, including behavioral health, cardiology, emergency medicine, general surgery, orthopedics, spine services, and women's care, along with 11 multi-specialty physician clinics. Our growing campus also features a state-of-the-art Outpatient Care Center, Health & Fitness Center, and two convenient urgent care locations—providing employees the opportunity to support patients across every stage of care in a dynamic, community-focused healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master's degree and/or CPA preferred.
  • Progressive leadership experience in healthcare finance, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and operational oversight.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare financial management, reimbursement methodologies, regulatory requirements, GAAP, and internal controls.
  • Demonstrated success leading high-performing teams with experience in talent development, performance management, and organizational leadership.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex financial data, develop strategic recommendations, and influence executive decision-making.
  • Experience managing internal and external audits while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, organizational policies, and financial reporting standards.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills with the ability to partner effectively with executives, physicians, department leaders, and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the organization's financial strategy by leading budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance initiatives that support operational excellence and long-term growth.
  • Provide executive financial leadership by partnering with hospital leadership to deliver data-driven insights, identify opportunities, and support strategic decision-making across the organization.
  • Ensure financial integrity and compliance by maintaining strong internal controls, overseeing audits, and ensuring adherence to healthcare regulations, accounting standards, and organizational policies.
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing finance team through coaching, talent development, succession planning, and a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Optimize financial performance by monitoring key financial metrics, managing departmental resources, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency while supporting exceptional patient care.
  • Champion operational excellence by strengthening financial processes, enhancing reporting capabilities, and driving initiatives that improve accuracy, productivity, and service across the organization.
  • Support the hospital's mission by ensuring sound financial stewardship that enables caregivers and clinical teams to deliver outstanding care to the communities we serve.
