About The Position
The Hiring Advisors is partnering with a pioneering, $1.8B+ backed frontier AI and autonomous hardware company at the absolute cutting edge of technological innovation. They are preparing for their next massive hyper-growth phase and looking for a Head of Finance to serve as the company's first true finance leader. The founders are looking to hand over the financial keys to a trusted partner. You will step in as the "adult in the room"—building the entire strategic finance function from scratch, managing a multi-billion-dollar balance sheet, and directly advising founder-led executive leadership on capital deployment.
Requirements
- 10+ Years of Finance Experience
- Proven track record in FP&A, Strategic Finance, or Corporate Finance, with deep operational experience inside venture-backed scale-ups (Series B–D+).
- Demonstrated experience building and scaling a finance function from zero (or near-zero) in high-growth tech.
- Exposure to high-CAPEX, deep-tech, or hyperscale environments (e.g., frontier AI, cloud infrastructure, autonomous systems, semiconductor, or advanced hardware).
- An unflappable communicator who can confidently push back, partner with technical founders, and simplify complex financial dynamics for non-finance leaders.
- Comfortable managing multi-billion-dollar capitalization models and high-velocity investment decisions.
Responsibilities
- Build the entire financial operating model from scratch—including long-range forecasts, burn/runway analysis, cost-center structures, and annual budgeting.
- Act as a core strategic partner to the founders, deploying billions in capital across complex AI infrastructure, hardware R&D, and global ops.
- Own high-profile board decks, investor communications, and fundraising strategy alongside executive leadership.
- Audit current financial processes/talent, establish best practices, and architect the future size, shape, and structure of the finance org.
- Ensure absolute precision in spend, establish ironclad accounting oversight, and govern capital burn with high conviction.
