About The Position

The Director of Finance will oversee cash flow management and forecasting, analyze revenue streams and standard gross margins, collaborate with production teams to establish and monitor production standards, develop and implement reporting systems for industrial performance, lead initiatives for inventory optimization, monitor and manage fixed costs, identify and implement strategies to enhance profitability, prepare financial forecasts and budgets, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. This role is responsible for preparing the Long Term Plan and Budgets annually for HAVS North America with the Executive Vice President, Sales, and other cross-functional departments. The incumbent is also responsible for implementing and assuring adherence to Governmental and Company policies regarding Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Plan compliance, and for having suitable safety programs in place to safeguard employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial management experience within the automotive industry (tier one automotive supplier).
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong expertise in cash management, financial analysis, and performance reporting.
  • Proven track record in managing fixed costs and optimizing profitability.
  • Experience with inventory management and production standardization in a manufacturing setting.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills required.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or relevant professional certification (CMA, CPA) preferred.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee cash flow management and forecasting, including monthly analysis of Working Capital, inventory, customer and supplier payment terms, identifying gaps and corrective actions.
  • Monitor outstanding payments, manage credit limits, and anticipate nonpayment risk.
  • Analyze revenue streams and standard gross margins monthly, measuring the impact of unit price changes, exchange rate fluctuations, R&D costs, and tooling depreciation.
  • Collaborate with production teams to establish and monitor production standards, ensuring alignment with financial goals and operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate actual performance, workshop efficiency, and create reliable budgets and projections for product profitability.
  • Develop and implement reporting systems to track and analyze industrial performance metrics, including labor management variances, raw materials variances, and ODC.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance inventory reliability and optimization, minimizing excess and obsolete stock.
  • Monitor and manage fixed costs, ensuring alignment with budgetary targets and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Identify and implement strategies to enhance bottom-line profitability across all manufacturing sites.
  • Prepare accurate financial forecasts and budgets, analyzing variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Annually prepare the LTP and Budgets for HAVS North America with the Executive Vice President, Sales, and other cross-functional departments.
  • Work closely with operations, sales, and supply chain teams to align financial strategies with overall business goals.
  • Implement and assure adherence to Governmental and Company policies regarding Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Plan compliance.
  • Ensure subordinate managers are aware of Company objectives and goals regarding Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Plans.
  • Ensure suitable safety programs are in place to safeguard employees and oversee the implementation of these programs and adherence to safety policies.
