About The Position
MP1 Solutions pioneered the Compliance Services Organization (CSO) — a new category of operating partner built to replace the fragmented vendor model that has defined compliance programs for decades. We're doing so with a technology-forward approach, actively developing the AI infrastructure that will make this model smarter, faster, and more scalable as we grow. We operate as the single compliance partner for non-acute healthcare facilities — consolidating every obligation into one coordinated program, assigning one dedicated account manager as the point of accountability, and actively managing the underlying vendor ecosystem through continuous evaluation, negotiation, and optimization on the practice's behalf. We are looking for a hands-on, operationally savvy Director of Finance to join our leadership team. This is not a back-office role — the ideal candidate has thrived in startup or small-company environments, built and refined processes from the ground up, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves. You will own the day-to-day financial operations of the company while also contributing to broader operational and administrative functions that keep the business running smoothly.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 8–9 years of progressive finance/accounting experience
- Minimum 5 years in a Controller or equivalent leadership role
- Demonstrated experience in a startup or small-company environment (under 200 employees)
- Strong command of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Hands-on experience with bank reconciliation, cash management, and financial close processes
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Nice To Haves
- CPA or CMA certification
- Experience in healthcare, waste management, logistics, or a service-based industry
- Familiarity with HR administrative processes and people operations
- Prior experience in a Chief of Staff, Director of Finance, or hybrid operational-finance role
- Track record of building finance teams and processes in a growing company
Responsibilities
- Own the full accounting cycle — general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month-end close
- Manage cash flow forecasting, daily cash positioning, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Develop and maintain internal financial controls and accounting policies
- Participate in annual budgeting and financial planning processes in partnership with leadership and FP&A Manager
- Coordinate with tax advisors, and banking partners
- Directly manage and mentor a small finance/accounting team
- Partner with operations and sales leadership to provide financial insights that drive business decisions
- Support HR administrative functions including benefits administration, onboarding documentation, and compliance tracking as needed
- Assist with operational initiatives and special projects at the direction of senior leadership
- Identify gaps in existing financial processes and implement scalable improvements
- Maintain and optimize accounting systems and tools; experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar platforms preferred
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements
- Support licensing, permitting, and contract administration as needed in coordination with operations
