About The Position

De La Salle High School of New Orleans is seeking a trained and qualified financial professional responsible for overseeing the school's business office, managing accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance with regulations. This is a full-time, in-person position with benefits. This role provides oversight to the positions of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable and reports to the President of the school.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration is required, or a master's degree (MBA).
  • Generally requires five or more years of experience in accounting or financial management, with experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software, advanced QuickBooks and Excel skills, and a deep understanding of financial governance and reporting.

Nice To Haves

  • A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation is highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Directing the business office, including managing payroll, accounts payable/receivable positions, and general ledger functions, including management and oversight of all external accounts.
  • Annual preparation of in-house line item annual budget and District template budget, capital budget.
  • Preparing, analyzing, and submitting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports inclusive of Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Budget to Actuals, Budget Forecast, and Cash Flow Projection.
  • Annual audit lead in preparing for and supporting auditors selected by Board of Trustees.
  • Establishing and maintaining systems to protect the integrity of financial data and assets.
  • Ensuring compliance with GAAP standards, tax laws, and government regulations.
