A well-established professional services firm is seeking a Director of Finance & Operations to serve as the backbone of the organization’s financial and operational infrastructure. This is a broad, leadership-oriented role for someone who enjoys being both strategic and executional.
Requirements
- Director-level or strong Controller background within professional services
- Experience directly running finance and operations (not purely FP&A or technical accounting)
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and support leadership with clear, actionable insights
- Background in smaller or mid-market organizations preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead all accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities
- Manage operational infrastructure tied to finance, HR, payroll, and vendors
- Partner with senior leadership on business planning, growth, and profitability
- Analyze performance by project, client, and service line
- Drive continuous improvement across systems, controls, and processes
