Heritage Cooperative is seeking a Director of Feed Operations. Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license, with acceptable driving record
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Business or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and progressive industry experience)
  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience in feed manufacturing, animal nutrition or agribusiness operations, with direct P&L responsibility
  • Proven Hands-on experience delivering excellent customer service in a sales and operations environment
  • Strong Knowledge of agricultural technology tools (e.g., feed formulation software, inventory management systems, CRM platforms)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and present effectively at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time, respond promptly to inquiries and drive results in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong business acumen, analytical problem-solving skills and continuous improvement mindset
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry trends

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree or professional certifications in animal nutrition, feed manufacturing or agribusiness management
  • Experience managing feed mill operations, including production efficiencies, quality control and regulatory compliance
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic marketing plans, pricing strategies and incentive programs
  • High-level customer relationship management skills with a proven track record of building loyalty with growers and key accounts
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other divisions (Energy, Fleet, Agronomy, etc.) to identify synergies, support integrated solutions for customers, and contribute to overall cooperative growth

Responsibilities

  • Provide regular performance reporting, forecasting and strategic recommendations to senior leadership
  • Abide by all safety regulations to ensure safety of oneself, coworkers and customers
  • Develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking and referrals
  • Other duties as assigned
