The Global Health Advocacy Incubator (GHAI), an initiative of the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, focuses on sustainable and lasting public health change through policy change campaigns and capacity building in low and middle-income countries. Drawing on lessons from tobacco control and other public health advocacy campaigns in over 50 countries, GHAI drives policy change globally to improve health. The Director of Federal Advocacy for Overdose Prevention will oversee the development and execution of GHAI's federal advocacy agenda. This role involves engaging with decision-makers in the Legislative and Executive Branches to promote policies that enhance addiction treatment systems, remove barriers to care, and reduce disparities. The position aims to expand access to affordable, evidence-based addiction treatment and overdose prevention strategies in seven states by advancing policy change and public awareness, and by educating federal decision-makers about the overdose crisis and effective policies.
