About The Position

The Director of Facilities is responsible for plant operations and maintenance, including supervisory duties within a hospital setting. This role involves managing maintenance record keeping, acting as a safety officer, and handling special projects alongside core responsibilities. The position requires strong project management skills and familiarity with various industry regulations and standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in plant operations/maintenance.
• Minimum of five years’ supervisory experience in a hospital setting.
• Experience in maintenance record keeping.
• Experience in a safety officer capacity.
• Experience working on special projects while handling Director of Facilities Responsibilities.
• Strong project management skills.
• Familiarity with OSHA/MIOSHA rules and regulations.
• Strong knowledge of regulations and standards including ASHRAE, NFPA, AOA and/or JCAHO.
• Familiarity with the processes of scheduling of contractors.
• Ability to interact effectively with Administration.

Nice To Haves

• Vocational training in plumbing, electrical, cooling and heating is desirable.
• Courses in hospital housekeeping or institutional management desired.
• Must be able to take classes offered by hospital.
• Must be able to attend seminars.

Responsibilities

• Oversee plant operations and maintenance in a hospital setting.
