About The Position

This position oversees the functions of the Facilities Services department including maintenance, housekeeping and grounds. The Director of Facilities Services will supervise all department staff; ensure proper maintenance of all buildings and grounds; and provide an aesthetically pleasing, clean and functional learning environment in support of the strategic mission and goals of the university.

Requirements

• Supportive of Warner’s mission, vision and core values, commitment to a Christian lifestyle, and demonstration of character in keeping with biblical models.
• A minimum of five years of experience in facilities management.
• Possess in-depth technical knowledge/expertise of engineering, construction, maintenance, facility and general management.
• Have knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local legislative and regulatory requirements including building codes, OSHA regulations and safety requirements.
• High level of interpersonal skills and ability to handle confidential situations and documentation.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

• Experience working in an education environment (preferably higher education).

Responsibilities

• Provide vision and strategic direction for the Facilities Services department.
• Supervise and direct facilities services staff and work-study students; and mentor, coach and evaluate staff performance.
• Model and encourage an environment of excellent customer service among all facilities personnel.
• Develop and implement methods to monitor and track work orders and service requests.
• Manage and prioritize annual budgets for all functional areas of the department.
• Work closely with architects, engineers, design professionals and university leadership on any new building construction or renovation.
• Participate in the development of long-range campus master plans.
• Other duties as needed.
