Director of Facilities and Procurement

We're seeking an experienced operations executive to lead facilities management and procurement strategy across all Eastern Dental locations. As Director of Facilities and Procurement, you'll ensure our practices are well-maintained, manage vendor relationships, optimize our supply chain, and drive cost savings through strategic procurement. You'll build the infrastructure and vendor partnerships that allow our clinical teams to focus on patient care without worrying about facilities or supplies.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in facilities management, procurement, or supply chain operations
- Experience managing facilities and procurement across multi-site organizations
- Strong vendor negotiation and relationship management skills
- Proven track record of driving cost savings through strategic procurement
- Understanding of equipment and supply chain management
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Experience managing budgets and tracking financial metrics
- Experience in managing a team and driving performance
- Ability to balance cost optimization with quality and service standards

- Knowledge of healthcare or dental facility requirements preferred
Responsibilities
- Oversee facilities management and maintenance for 20+ dental practice locations
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime
- Manage relationships with facility vendors (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, janitorial, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements across all facilities
- Lead procurement strategy for dental equipment, supplies, and office materials
- Negotiate vendor contracts and pricing to optimize cost and value
- Manage vendor relationships with dental labs, suppliers, equipment manufacturers, and distributors
- Develop and optimize supply chain operations to ensure practices are properly stocked
- Implement inventory management systems and processes
- Oversee equipment purchasing, installation, and lifecycle management
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through standardization and volume purchasing
- Find opportunities and lead projects to automate processes in these areas
- Use AI to improve our management of and insight into our spend in these areas.
- Build strategic partnerships with key suppliers and manufacturers
- Track and report on facilities and procurement metrics (spend, savings, vendor performance)
- Lead emergency response for urgent facilities or equipment issues
