About The Position

Genesis House is seeking a Director of Events to lead the full lifecycle of every event, activation, exhibition, and guest experience hosted within the House. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for a producer who thrives at the intersection of luxury hospitality, cultural programming, and brand-defining experiential work. Reporting to the General Manager, the Director of Events owns strategy support, production, on-site execution, vendor management, budgeting, and post-event reconciliation. Every activation must deepen brand meaning, protect the independent missions of the three purpose-driven floors, deliver elevated Son-nim hospitality, and drive measurable Brand Affinity.

Requirements

  • 8–12+ years of progressive experience in experiential events, brand activations, or cultural programming — ideally within luxury, automotive, or hospitality environments.
  • Proven track record of producing complex, high-visibility events in live, multi-use venues.
  • Strong technical production knowledge (LED, AV, lighting, staging) and vendor management expertise.
  • Exceptional budget ownership, project management, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and operate with calm authority under pressure.
  • Bachelor's degree required

Nice To Haves

  • Deep appreciation for Korean culture, Son-nim hospitality, and brand storytelling preferred.
  • advanced degree or equivalent experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with GMA, Marketing, AOR, and creative agencies to shape the annual and quarterly events calendar.
  • Ensure all programming aligns with the Genesis House 2.0 floor strategy — with particular focus on the Cellar as an always-on cultural and community space.
  • Develop clear objectives, creative briefs, budgets, timelines, and success metrics for every activation.
  • Establish roles, responsibilities, approval gates, and decision-making authority for each event.
  • Secure appropriate stakeholder approval on scope, budget, creative, production requirements, and operational impacts prior to execution.
  • Own end-to-end project management, production planning, technical direction, logistics, permitting, staffing, and contingency planning.
  • Maximize the impact of the Cellar's signature immersive LED stage, including vehicle integrations for product launches.
  • Protect ongoing operations of the Showroom and 2nd Floor (Restaurant, Tea Pavilion, and Terrace) during all events.
  • Lead on-site execution with calm authority and real-time problem-solving.
  • Source, contract, manage, and reconcile event vendors, building on Jackson Dawson's existing management of 60+ monthly and 80+ annual vendor relationships.
  • Maintain strict budget control, transparent documentation, and formal change processes (WOC).
  • Deliver accurate post-event financial reconciliation, variance analysis, and forward-looking recommendations.
  • Ensure every event embodies elevated Son-nim standards, the 10/5 Rule, personal escorting (stairs and copper elevators), and seamless cross-floor continuity.
  • Design guest flows that feel intentional, sensory-rich, and non-disruptive to daily House operations.
  • Lead and develop the events team, temporary staff, and cross-functional partners.
  • Serve as a core member of the Integrated Agency Team (IAT) — maintaining clear communication, dependency tracking, and accountability.
  • Collaborate closely with the General Manager, Director of Operations, F&B Director, Guest Experience leadership, and Facilities team.
  • Serve as the primary event lead and central point of accountability for all Genesis House events.
  • Provide the General Manager with regular updates on event pipeline, budget status, risks, operational dependencies, and upcoming milestones.
  • Proactively surface issues requiring leadership decisions before unresolved dependencies impact execution.
  • Track event performance against KPIs (attendance, engagement, brand affinity indicators, budget variance, guest sentiment).
  • Deliver insightful post-event reports and recommendations that feed future programming and the broader continuous-improvement process.
