About The Position

The Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa at the Convention Center in Montgomery, Alabama, is seeking a detail-oriented, guest-focused Director of Event Management to lead event operations at a premier full-service hotel connected to the Montgomery Convention Center and Montgomery Performing Arts Centre. The property has over 340 guest rooms, a full-service European-style spa, a rooftop pool, multiple dining outlets, and nearly 300,000 square feet of event space. It serves group, association, and citywide events as part of the PCH Hotels & Resorts portfolio.

The role involves leadership of the Event Management team, hands-on event detailing, and coordination with clients and hotel departments to facilitate memorable guest experiences. The position requires schedule flexibility, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as business needs require.

Requirements

• Director-level Event Management leadership experience in a full-service, convention center, or large group hotel.
• Proven ability to lead and develop an Event Management team.
• Hands-on experience detailing group and catering events, BEOs, event orders, resumes, and pre-cons.
• Strong client communication and cross-department coordination skills.
• Schedule flexibility, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends based on business needs.
