Requirements
- 10+ years of engineering and design experience within the precast concrete or structural construction industry.
- Demonstrated experience leading a team of engineers and designers in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
- In-depth understanding of ACI, PCI, and ASTM standards and precast manufacturing processes.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or the ability to obtain licensure within a designated timeframe.
- Prior experience developing or managing engineering standardization and training programs.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla, or other 3D modeling or design platforms.
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field, preferred
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales and project management to evaluate design feasibility, value engineering options, and constructability during the bid and pre-construction phases.
- Develop and maintain design standards that align with industry best practices and company objectives
- Ensure that all engineering work complies with structural codes, safety standards, and project requirements
- Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of design drawings, 3D models, and engineering calculations.
- Provide technical direction, mentorship, and continuous training to engineers, designers, and drafters to promote professional growth and accountability
- Teach, coach, and reinforce standard work practices to ensure each team member follows established design and engineering procedures with precision.
