With a workforce of over 450 dedicated professionals, including environmental experts, engineers, technicians, scientists, planners, surveyors, and construction management professionals, this dynamic organization operates in more than 20 offices across the U.S. The Director of Environmental Services – Northern New England is responsible to lead the business development of projects and programs for Compliance, Remediation and Site Investigation, including providing leadership and management of key accounts, client relationships, and strategic initiatives focused in the northern New England region. The role will also include serving as senior technical lead for complex projects to maintain True’s standards for excellence.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
15+ years of previous experience working in environmental consulting, A/E/C or relevant industry.
10+ years of business development experience and leading/building client relationships
Ability to work effectively with team members on multi-disciplinary projects
Site travel may be required

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other business software
Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels
Post-graduate education (graduate level course, short course, Masters, etc.)
Deep understanding of client markets, environmental regulations and industry trends
Professional Geologist, Massachusetts Licensed Site Professional (LSP) or professional engineer (PE) preferred.

Responsibilities

Support the development and lead the execution of strategic plans to grow consulting services with a focus on compliance, remediation and site investigation services with a primary focus in the northern New England region.
Assist with, and help grow an environmental services practice group in northern New England including establishment of a physical office in the region.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with existing and potential clients, and negotiate contracts to achieve project capture and revenue targets.
Seek, through client partnering, to advance relationships to ‘trusted advisor’ status and to develop key accounts that have long-term and multi-practice support potential.
Engage with potential and existing clients through meetings, conference attendance, site visits, and other means as considered appropriate and/or the most strategic.
Act as a champion and account manager for client individuals and sites, and continually promote client goals, objectives and the schedule of deliverables as paramount importance.
Interact with clients assuring satisfaction with True Environmental’s services and interacting with operations to ensure any service issues are identified and addressed in a proactive manner.
Lead the development of proposals for potential new projects and programs.
As needed, serve as a senior resource to lead/deliver projects.
Ensure assigned resources are executing work as planned and with high quality.
Represent the company at industry conferences, seminars, and other networking events to promote our services and enhance our visibility within the mining community.
Reinforce collaboration and team building, ensure client focus, demonstrate commitment to excellence and innovation, and motivate others to create an engaging work culture.
Monitor and promote environmental health and worker safety.
Mentor junior/intermediate project team members.
Conduct senior reviews of technical deliverables and programs in area(s) of expertise.
Perform all other related duties as required.
