About The Position

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to lead all maintenance, engineering, and building operations for The Arcadian Hotel Brookline. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient performance of all building systems, while also driving team development and operational excellence. The Director of Engineering will oversee the Engineering team, manage maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and structural systems, and implement preventive maintenance programs. This position also involves budget development and management, cost and ROI analysis, oversight of capital projects and renovations, vendor contract management, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. Communication with local regulatory agencies and interpretation of construction drawings and building plans are also key aspects of this role. Additionally, the Director of Engineering will be responsible for hiring, coaching, and evaluating team members, driving training and development programs, and maintaining high performance, engagement, and accountability within the team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering experience in hospitality or similar environment
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience with building systems and preventive maintenance programs
• Financial acumen (budgeting, cost control, ROI analysis)
• Ability to read technical drawings
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
