About The Position

As a Director of Engineering, you will play a key role in leading our engineering teams to design, build, and deploy innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. This is a highly visible and dynamic role that requires a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within a high-growth technology company.
• Proven track record of building and operating large-scale, mission-critical backend systems in the cloud.
• Deep understanding of SRE principles, cloud cost governance, and the technical lifecycle of complex platforms.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing business requirements and priorities.
• Strong alignment with our company values and culture.

Nice To Haves

• Languages/Frameworks: Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot.
• Infrastructure: AWS (EKS, S3, SNS, SQS, KMS).
• Data & Messaging: PostgreSQL, Kafka, Airflow.
• Operations/CI/CD: GitLab, Grafana, Loki.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage engineering teams to design, build, and deploy innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.
• Drive the technical roadmap for our engineering teams to ensure we are using the latest technologies and best practices to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Ensure the stability and performance of our systems and applications to deliver high-quality solutions to our customers.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes and ensure we are delivering solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.
• Act as a technical leader to ensure we are managing technical debt effectively and delivering high-quality solutions to our customers.
• Communicate technical ideas and solutions to non-technical stakeholders to ensure we are delivering business outcomes.
• Continuously improve our engineering practices and processes to ensure we are delivering high-quality solutions to our customers.
• Help develop and execute the strategic plan for the engineering organization to ensure we are delivering business outcomes and meeting the evolving needs of our customers.
