About The Position
The Cincinnati Marriott at RiverCenter, managed by SPIRE Hospitality, is seeking a Director of Engineering. This role is responsible for ensuring the property's condition is maintained to high standards of functionality and visual appeal. The position involves managing rehabilitation, expansion, and special projects, as well as maintaining energy management and preventative maintenance programs. The Director of Engineering will also conduct training for other departments on equipment and energy usage, manage routine maintenance across various hotel areas, and oversee repairs, replacements, and renovation projects. Requirements
- Graduation from high school and from an apprenticeship, advance-training program for operating engineers recognized by the industry trade. Or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job.
- Three years’ experience performing building maintenance in a hotel or related industry.
- One year’s experience as a head or Assistant Chief Engineer in the same or similar environment.
- Must have licenses and permits as required by law or company regulations, such as an Electricians License.
Responsibilities
- Ensures the properties condition is upheld to high standards of functionality and visibly appealing to guests
- Manages the rehabilitation, expansion, and special projects for the property
- Maintains effective energy management and preventative maintenance programs
- Conducts special training for other operating departments on the safe and effective use of equipment and energy in the hotel
- Manages all routine maintenance on public spaces, meeting rooms, outlets, back of the house spaces and grounds
- Assigns and verifies completion of all repairs, replacements, and renovation projects to guest areas, offices and team member work areas
