About The Position

The Director of End of Life Experience will be responsible for developing and leading the End-of-Life Experience Program across all Care360 locations. This role involves building and expanding the Bedside Presence Program through standardized education and best practices, as well as recruiting, training, and supporting bedside volunteers. The Director will create educational curriculum for staff, volunteers, facilities, and families covering topics such as the dying process, compassionate presence, communication, legacy work, and emotional support. A key responsibility is coordinating bedside support to ensure no patient dies alone whenever possible. This position will also help create new programs to establish Care360 as a leader in compassionate hospice care, develop ongoing training modules (in-person, virtual, and e-learning) based on staff needs and regulatory updates, and present ongoing training for facility partners. The Director must adhere to Federal, state, and accreditation requirements, including Medicare and Medicaid regulations, and perform any other assigned tasks.

Requirements

  • Experience with Hospice strongly preferred; End-of-life care or Palliative Care compliance is required
  • Experience caring for patients and families at end of life
  • Passion for hospice philosophy and creating exceptional patient and family experiences
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and/or Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.
  • Knowledge of hospice regulations, CHAP, Medicaid, and medicare guidelines

  • Experience providing education, training, mentoring, or leading programs is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Developing and leading our End-of-Life Experience Program across all Care360 locations
  • Building and expanding our Bedside Presence Program (formerly BSV) through standardized education and best practices
  • Recruiting, training, and supporting bedside volunteers in partnership with our Volunteer Coordinators
  • Creating educational curriculum for staff, volunteers, facilities, and families related to the dying process, compassionate presence, communication, legacy work, and emotional support
  • Coordinating bedside support when patients enter the actively dying phase so that no patient dies alone whenever possible
  • Helping create new programs that distinguish Care360 as the leader in compassionate hospice care
  • Develop ongoing training modules (in-person, virtual, and e-learning) based on staff needs and regulatory updates
  • Develop and present ongoing training for facility partners, such as End of Life
  • Adhere to Federal, state, and accreditation requirements, including Medicare and Medicaid regulations
  • Any other tasks assigned
