About The Position

The Director of Emergency and Track Services provides strategic leadership and operational management for all emergency response, medical services, and track operations across Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This role ensures the highest levels of safety, preparedness, and operational performance for more than one thousand annual events. The Director leads full-time and part-time staff, collaborates with internal departments, sanctioning bodies, and public safety agencies, and maintains world-class standards of emergency readiness at one of the largest motorsports venues in the world.

Requirements

  • Current Clark County Nevada SNHD Paramedic license required.
  • Minimum five to seven years of experience in emergency response, motorsports operations, public safety management, or a comparable high-risk environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience overseeing multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Valid driver’s license with ability to be insured under venue policy.
  • Heavy Equipment operation certification is required.
  • Strong background in emergency response protocols, incident command, fire suppression, and vehicle extrication.
  • Experience managing budgets, payroll, POs, vendors, and capital planning.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all emergency medical functions including but not limited to the Medical Supervisor, AEMTs, EMTs, and medical operations staff.
  • Oversee Track Services Operations including but not limited to Emergency & Track Services Administrative roles, Emergency & Track Services Operations roles and Track Services & Operational Staff.
  • Ensure all emergency response and track operations meet NASCAR, NHRA, SNHD, CCFD, DEA (Federal and State), and LVMS safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee all staffing, scheduling, and operational readiness for all the events across all LVMS venues.
  • Verify ambulances, rescue vehicles, fire response vehicles, cleanup and track service equipment meet required inspection, certification, and operational standards.
  • Direct emergency response operations during critical incidents including crashes, fires, rollovers, and operational hazards requiring immediate decision-making and coordination.
  • Oversee the training, operations, and readiness of all track service personnel including fire response teams, extrication teams, spill mitigation crews, tow and recovery operators, and heavy equipment operators.
  • Lead departmental preparedness for NASCAR, NHRA, and major special events including track inspections, hazard mitigation, resource staging, and emergency planning.
  • Oversee medical department operations including controlled substance procedures, regulatory compliance, documentation management, and medical staffing.
  • Direct equipment readiness including maintenance planning, procurement, replacement schedules, upgrades, and capital planning.
  • Oversee vendor management for medical, fire, and track operations including equipment suppliers, training vendors, ambulance providers, and safety service contractors.
  • Manage departmental POs, purchasing workflows, and UKG payroll approvals.
  • Lead the department’s CAPEX planning including major equipment replacement, infrastructure improvements, and safety technology upgrades.
  • Work closely with public safety agencies including the Southern Nevada Health District, Clark County Fire Department, Clark County Public Works, and local EMS partners.
  • Ensure all operations maintain LVMS standards of professionalism, safety, and customer service.
