About The Position

MiSide MiEarlyYears is seeking an experienced and relationship-centered leader to serve as the Director of Family and Integrated Services. This senior leadership role provides strategic, clinical, operational, and financial oversight for integrated behavioral health services supporting children prenatal through age five and their families. The Director will lead, develop, and expand service lines including: MiSide’s multidisciplinary Infant Mental Health (IMH), integrated behavioral health programming which includes family-centered behavioral supports, care navigation, and coordinate community-based services. This position is ideal for a systems-level leader who thrives in complex environments, values relationship-based and trauma-informed practice, and is passionate about building sustainable, high-quality services that improve outcomes for children and families. The Director serves as a key member of the leadership team and partners closely with executive leadership, clinical supervisors, finance, operations, and community partners to strengthen integrated care systems across MiSide.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in behavioral health, early childhood mental health, integrated care, or related systems.
  • Minimum three (3) years of leadership or supervisory experience overseeing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience working within Medicaid, federally funded grants, behavioral health, or integrated care environments.
  • Full Michigan licensure (LMSW, LPC, LLP, or equivalent)
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning capabilities
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed and relationship-based practice models
  • Understanding of Medicaid, behavioral health funding, and integrated care systems
  • Ability to balance clinical, operational, and financial priorities
  • Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead through complexity, growth, and organizational change
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for integrated behavioral health services, including Infant Mental Health, care navigation, family support services, and multidisciplinary behavioral health programming.
  • Set and steward the clinical vision for relationship-based, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and family-centered care across integrated service systems.
  • Support the continued growth and stabilization of the Infant Mental Health program and integrated service model.
  • Establish pathways integrating behavioral health with early learning, primary care, nutrition, and community-based supports.
  • Support and develop multidisciplinary teams, including clinicians, care navigators, and family support staff.
  • Provide reflective leadership and support workforce development initiatives that strengthen staff retention, sustainability, and professional growth.
  • Oversee operational workflows related to referral, intake, care coordination, and integrated service delivery.
  • Oversee the financial aspects of behavioral health and integrated service programs, ensuring growth, productivity, operational efficiency, and alignment with financial targets.
  • Partner with Finance and Executive Leadership on budgeting, forecasting, productivity monitoring, and operational planning.
  • Utilize operational and financial data to support decision-making, program performance, and long-term sustainability.
  • Ensure compliance with Medicaid, CCBHC, MDHHS, grant, and regulatory requirements.
  • Represent MiSide in community partnerships, professional coalitions, and integrated care initiatives.
  • Contribute to grant development, reporting, and strategic planning efforts that support organizational growth and sustainability.
  • Strengthen relationships with funders, referral partners, and cross-system stakeholders.
  • Support organizational initiatives focused on integrated care, prevention, early intervention, and family-centered practice.
