About The Position

The primary duty of this role is directly related to the University’s advancement operations, specifically donor cultivation, stewardship, and fundraising execution. This position functions as a key operator in moving donors through the engagement pipeline by managing individualized cultivation strategy and high-touch relationship coordination that directly supports institutional revenue generation. The Director of Donor Hospitality serves as a key relationship-centered role within the Advancement Department, focused on creating meaningful, consistent, and high-quality experiences for donors, alumni, and VIP university guests. This role strengthens donor engagement through intentional hospitality, stewardship communication, donor follow-up, and personalized relationship touchpoints that support the university's mission and fundraising efforts. The position also supports Advancement strategy through accurate donor record management, donor reporting, meeting preparation, stewardship tracking, and fundraising support processes that improve communication consistency and donor relationship continuity across the department.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience in Advancement, donor relations, hospitality, event coordination, nonprofit administration, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a key relationship-centered role within the Advancement Department, focused on creating meaningful, consistent, and high-quality experiences for donors, alumni, and VIP university guests.
  • Strengthens donor engagement through intentional hospitality, stewardship communication, donor follow-up, and personalized relationship touchpoints that support the university's mission and fundraising efforts.
  • Oversees donor hospitality coordination before, during, and after Advancement interactions and events while also serving as a primary resource for donor information management and CRM coordination.
  • Works closely with Advancement leadership, fundraisers, alumni partners, and campus departments to ensure donors feel welcomed, appreciated, informed, and personally connected to the university’s mission and impact.
  • Supports Advancement strategy through accurate donor record management, donor reporting, meeting preparation, stewardship tracking, and fundraising support processes that improve communication consistency and donor relationship continuity across the department.
  • Includes weekend and evening responsibilities such as donor dinners, evening cultivation events tied directly to fundraising outcomes, and participation in fundraising events requiring setup, execution, and post-event follow-up.
