About The Position

LCRA is looking for an ambitious Director of Document Solutions and Data Governance to lead our data strategy. This role plays a pivotal part in strengthening the organization’s ability to harness data as a strategic asset. The Director will ensure that enterprise data is modern, reliable, secure, and readily available to drive informed decision-making. The work directly supports business growth by advancing data governance, standardization, and quality practices across the company, while also expanding business intelligence and GenAI capabilities that improve operational insight. Beyond technical leadership, the Director will elevate organizational effectiveness through strong team development—guiding, mentoring, and empowering staff to excel in modern data disciplines. This role also builds and maintains essential partnerships with leaders and collaborators across the enterprise, ensuring data resources align with current priorities and future opportunities. The goal is to enable the company to optimize data value, enhance operational performance, and advance innovation across all business areas.

Requirements

  • Twelve or more years of experience in data management, business intelligence, data engineering, or relevant experience, including at least three years of leadership experience.
  • A degree(s) in data science, library science or a relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.

  • Master’s degree or higher
  • Experience with Informatica, MS Purview, DLP products, Records Retention
  • Experience cleansing data across an enterprise for AI consumption.
  • Proven track record of leading data strategy and governance initiatives.
  • Outstanding leadership skills with experience in staff management and development.
  • Solid knowledge of data engineering, master data management, and contemporary data technologies.
  • Ability to establish and carry out data governance standards and practices.
  • Experience with enterprise-level business intelligence (BI) functionalities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with an ability to coordinate and prioritize project work successfully.
  • Experience with GenAI data and data analytics skills is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and maintain a unified enterprise data strategy and drive modernization of data collection, management, and sharing.
  • Oversee cross-functional data initiatives and ensure reliable, secure, consistent, and accessible data for business needs.
  • Develop and align company-wide data standards, governance practices, and data quality protocols.
  • Expand enterprise business intelligence and GenAI analytics capabilities.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction for staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Build strong partnerships across the organization to ensure data supports current and future business priorities.
