Position Overview As the Director of Digital Product, you will lead the company’s enterprise-wide digital engineering product ecosystem, with ownership of the digital platforms and capabilities that support the full product lifecycle from engineering through manufacturing and service. In this role, you will be accountable for the strategy, operating model, and long-term investment decisions that enable scalable, model-centric, and data-driven ways of working across the enterprise. You will partner closely with senior business, engineering, and D&IT leaders to ensure technology investments align with business priorities and deliver measurable outcomes. Reporting to the SVP, Chief Digital and Information Officer, and serving as a member of the D&IT Leadership Team, this role offers the opportunity to shape enterprise-wide digital engineering capabilities with broad impact across products, platforms, and operating performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience spanning technology, engineering systems, and business strategy in complex enterprise environments.
  • 7+ years of senior product leadership experience owning enterprise platforms or digital product portfolios, preferably within engineering, manufacturing, or industrial domains.
  • Deep experience with engineering systems and product lifecycle processes, including PLM, ALM, CAD, and related platforms; experience with PTC solutions strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success defining and executing enterprise-scale, multi-year product strategies with measurable business outcomes.
  • Proven ability to lead enterprise transformation initiatives and influence executive stakeholders across business and technology.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, including experience with value-based investment, portfolio governance, and ROI measurement.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, executive-level business insights.

Nice To Haves

  • Leadership in digital engineering transformation, including MBD, virtual testing, and configuration-driven development within the automotive, powersports, aerospace, or industrial products industries preferred.
  • Experience operating within agile-at-scale frameworks (such as SAFe or Scrum@Scale), and a background in industry thought leadership related to digital engineering, PLM, or enterprise platforms is highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the enterprise digital product strategy for engineering platforms and capabilities, including PLM, ALM, CAD, and the supporting ecosystem, aligned to business strategy and long-range product plans.
  • Establish and govern a multi-year product vision, roadmap, and investment strategy that balances innovation, platform sustainability, technical debt reduction, and business value realization.
  • Maintain accountability for the overall health and performance of the engineering digital product portfolio, including adoption, cost efficiency, engineering productivity, quality outcomes, and time-to-market.
  • Lead the evolution of the digital engineering operating model, including governance, funding models, agile-at-scale practices, and value measurement.
  • Enable and scale the digital thread, ensuring seamless continuity from CAD-driven engineering BOMs through manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and service.
  • Drive the adoption and advancement of systems engineering, MBSE, PLM, ALM, and CAD platforms that support virtual build, virtual testing, MBD, and platform-based product development.
  • Serve as the executive decision and escalation authority for cross-domain prioritization, capacity trade-offs, and platform investment decisions.
  • Partner with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, infrastructure, engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and external partners to ensure platforms are secure, resilient, compliant, and future-ready, while helping shape vendor and partner roadmaps to align with enterprise needs.
  • Guide release planning, dependency management, and roadmap transparency to ensure predictable delivery and alignment across business units and delivery teams.
  • Establish value-based prioritization frameworks, KPIs, and success metrics, using data and user feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop product leaders, including product managers and product owners, while shaping product organization design and capability maturity.
