About The Position

The Director of Deposit Operations aids in the seamless transition of workflow from sales operations to the back office, encouraging a growing sales culture. This role ensures that quality products, priced effectively, can be delivered by the sales force. The position involves maintaining deposit rates, assisting with the development of new deposit products, and creating deposit operations procedures to meet audit, risk, customer service, and efficiency goals. The Director manages relevant portions of deposit, card, ATM, and digital banking conversions and implementations, and assists with related training. Duties include assigning tasks to deposit operations personnel for efficient branch banking operations, acting as a liaison with branches, departments, and senior management to resolve operational or service issues, and ensuring quality client service, operational integrity, and regulatory compliance. The role involves troubleshooting deposit work from retail branches and other banking areas, overseeing accurate, timely, and secure wire processing, and managing the creation and implementation of electronic banking policies and procedures. Additionally, the Director develops and maintains policies and procedures for the Bank’s deposit account/CIF programs, OD/NSF programs, and electronic banking. This position has administrative authority and support roles as approved in various deposit-related capacities. It ensures timely and accurate departmental responses to customer inquiries and service requests, provides support and guidance to retail staff and senior management in resolving customer issues, and manages customer issues when appropriate. The role involves updating applicable systems/records, having Official Check & Wire Transfer authority, and overseeing the processing of legal processes against customer accounts. The Director also provides assistance to the BSA Officer for compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and related governmental regulations, and supports the Security department in fraud and criminal matters. Management responsibilities include the Bank’s consumer and business debit card, ATM network affiliations, consumer and business online banking, and mobile banking remote deposit capture. The role requires completing all mandatory training, including BSA and Anti-Money Laundering procedures, and maintaining compliance with all rules and regulations. Regular, predictable attendance is essential, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three (3) years business experience including, but not limited to sales, sales mentoring, hiring, motivating, and managing a sales staff

Responsibilities

  • Maintains deposit rates per Pricing Committee
  • Assist with developing new deposit products as determined by the Bank’s Pricing Committee and senior management.
  • Develops deposit operations procedures to ensure audit, risk, customer service and efficiency goals are met.
  • Manages relevant portions of deposit, card, ATM and digital banking conversions & implementations and assists with related training.
  • Assign duties to deposit operations personnel to ensure efficient operation of branch banking
  • Act as a liaison with branches, departments & senior management to resolve operational or service related issues.
  • Ensure quality client service, operational integrity and regulatory compliance
  • Troubleshoot all aspects of deposit work arising from the retail branches and other banking
  • Oversees the accurate, timely & secure processing of wire transfers
  • Manages the creation and implementation of electronic banking policies and procedures
  • Develop policy and procedures for, and maintains current status of, Bank’s deposit account/CIF programs, OD/NSF programs and electronic banking
  • Has administrative authority & support role as approved in various deposit related capacities
  • Ensures timely and accurate departmental response to both internal and external customer inquiries and service requests, including tracking volumes, service times.
  • Provides support and guidance to retail staff and senior management in resolution of customer related issues, involving other banking areas as well as legal counsel & law enforcement when appropriate; Manages customer issues when appropriate.
  • Updates applicable systems/records
  • Has Official Check & Wire Transfer authority per Board Authorities and Deposit Rate negotiation authority per Pricing Committee directive.
  • Oversees processing of subpoenas, tax levies, garnishments and other legal processes against customer records/accounts in a timely and legally compliant manner.
  • Provide assistance to the BSA Officer to insure compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and governmental regulations dealing with anti-terrorism, money laundering, and Bank regulations.
  • Support & collaborate with the Bank’s Security department in deposit and customer related fraud and criminal matters.
  • Manages the Bank’s consumer and business debit card programs
  • Manages the Bank’s ATM network affiliations including branding and network membership.
  • Provides management of the Bank’s Consumer and Business (non-Treasury) online banking
  • Provides management of the Bank’s Consumer and Business mobile banking remote deposit capture
  • Complete all mandatory and elective training, including BSA (Bank Secrecy Act) and Anti-Money Laundering procedures. Maintain compliance with all appropriate rules and regulations.
  • Complete other duties as assigned
