About The Position

Aston Park is seeking a dedicated Dementia Care Director to oversee all aspects of our Dementia Care Program. This vital role ensures the highest quality of care for our residents and their families, focusing on their physical and emotional well-being.

Requirements

• Degree in mental health or social services field
• At least 3 years in a senior living setting
• Dementia care expertise required
• Strong knowledge of dementia care
• Flexibility
• Effective communication (written and verbal)
• Sound judgment
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to relate well to residents is essential
• Frequent walking and standing
• Must be able to stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors as needed

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the dementia care program, including activities and compliance with all state regulations.
• Oversee dementia care education for staff.
• Serve as a key resource for residents and their families.
• Stay current with best practices in dementia-specific care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
