About The Position

Ability Matters is growing and seeking an experienced leader to strengthen and expand Day Services programming. As Director of Day Services Programming, this role will oversee strategy, develop high-performing teams, and ensure innovative, person-centered services that create meaningful inclusion and measurable outcomes. This is an opportunity to lead growth while driving real impact.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 3+ years of leadership experience in developmental disabilities or human services
• Strong knowledge of compliance, staffing, and program operations
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Valid Ohio driver’s license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and continuously improve engaging, person-centered day service programming.
• Recruit, coach, and develop high-performing teams while fostering accountability and service excellence.
• Maintain compliance with DODD, Medicaid, and agency standards while ensuring safe, high-quality services.
• Oversee scheduling, staffing, budgets, and program performance to ensure consistency and fiscal responsibility.
• Use data, quality assurance, and reporting to evaluate success and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Partner with executive leadership to expand services, strengthen partnerships, and drive long-term organizational growth.
• Deliver direct services weekly and maintain visibility within programming to support connection and quality oversight.
