About The Position

Circle Logistics Inc. is seeking an experienced Director of Data Science and Information Technology to spearhead our technology initiatives and lead our dedicated IT and Data team. This role involves optimizing complex systems, mentoring technical talent, and integrating the latest innovations, including AI, into a high-growth business environment. As the central point for all technology initiatives, you will ensure our systems remain robust, secure, and scalable. You will be responsible for strategic project management, team leadership and development, system oversight, business software expertise, data foundation management, and technology innovation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive IT experience, with a focus on People Management and Project Management.
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, and PC hardware maintenance.
• Expert-level proficiency in Google Workspace and Excel.
• Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge.
• Familiarity with coding/scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
• Demonstrated ability to research and implement AI tools to solve business challenges.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in the Logistics or Transportation industry.
• Familiarity with cloud environments and virtualization technologies.
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute complex IT projects, including system upgrades, software implementations, and infrastructure enhancements.
• Manage and mentor the IT and Data team, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Maintain the reliability and security of our networking infrastructure, hardware, and communication systems.
• Act as the expert administrator for essential tools, including Google Workspace (Gmail, Sheets, Docs) and Microsoft Excel.
• Oversee database operations with a strong understanding of SQL for querying and reporting.
• Research and implement emerging technologies, specifically leveraging AI tools to enhance operational efficiency and brokerage decision-making.
