About The Position

The Director of Creative Learning is a senior leader who sits at the intersection of artistic practice, education, and community partnership. This role starts from the communities the Flynn serves and thinks creatively about how learning happens — designing programs, partnerships, and pathways that invite participation, deepen understanding, and expand access to the arts. The Director of Creative Learning shapes and advances Creative Learning as a core content function of the organization. The role oversees the Flynn’s Creative Learning portfolio, including workshops, classes, residencies, school partnerships, and summer camps, while also helping shape how learning is embedded across the organization’s artistic and public work. This position blends strategic thinking and hands-on program creation, balancing the development of new ideas with the stewardship and growth of established programs. The Director of Creative Learning is also responsible for defining, tracking, and communicating program goals, outcomes, and key performance indicators (KPIs) that demonstrate impact, inform learning, and support organizational and funder reporting.
