About The Position

The Director of Corporate & Community Partnerships will have a focus on new revenue streams in the form of special events, corporate engagement, major gifts and community engagement. This role will have a substantial working relationship with sponsors, committees, key corporate relationships, community partners and midlevel and major donors. They will manage a portfolio of corporate sponsors and supporters, and other key stakeholders to help drive the organization’s goals. The Director of Corporate & Community Partnerships is responsible for orchestrating and overseeing the successful execution of Feeding South Florida’s Annual Gala and driving revenue-generating initiatives through strategic cultivation of priority corporate relationships, account management, event coordination, and fundraising endeavors. The goal is to achieve an annual revenue goal of $2.5 million, with a focus on securing 40% from new sources and 60% from existing supporters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing Management/other relevant discipline or equivalent fundraising experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of successful experience in fundraising, corporate engagement, and relationship development preferred.
  • Experience with curating successful fundraising events (galas, 5K’s, etc.).
  • Successful track record of non-profit fund development and/or for-profit sales and sales management.
  • Experience tracking and reporting fundraising metrics.
  • Proficient in computer-based information systems.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word and Excel required).
  • Exceptional verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work successfully in a diverse team environment.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, outcome driven with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proven relationship-building, persuasion, and influence skills.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the planning and execution of Feeding South Florida’s Annual Gala, a pivotal event for our organization's fundraising efforts.
  • Cultivate and manage a portfolio of 150 corporate donors, nurturing existing relationships and identifying opportunities for expansion.
  • Proactively seek out and engage with new corporate prospects, utilizing your keen ability to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward potential partners.
  • Schedule and conduct regular donor interactions (correspondence, meetings, visits, etc.) with current and prospective donors.
  • Provide leadership and direction to our Community Engagement and Events team, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of activities.
  • Oversee the Volunteer Engagement team, driving initiatives to recognize and develop our invaluable volunteer base.
  • Evaluate performance of all direct reports providing guidance and accountability to roles.
  • Manage priority relationships, fundraising activities, and events with meticulous attention to detail and strategic foresight.
  • Lead the development of strategic relationships with key partners, organizations, corporations, and individuals, aligning their support with our mission and goals.
  • Collaborate closely with the development team and other relevant stakeholders to maximize fundraising and engagement opportunities.
  • Uphold organizational policies and standards, including risk management, data integrity, and financial accountability.
  • Implement best practices for corporate and community revenue growth, adjusting to feedback and driving creativity and innovation for new revenue opportunities.
  • Monitor financial expenditures and progress to budget, ensuring a high return on investment.
  • Track and update progress of portfolio management in the database (RE NXT) and the Development Plan (weekly).
  • Represent Feeding South Florida at relevant community meetings and events.
  • Engage in organizational initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
