South Louisiana Community College is seeking a Director of Continuing Education to manage and implement a comprehensive strategic vision for Continuing Education. This role involves aligning Adult Education, workforce training, and academic pathways, and establishing partnerships with employers, workforce boards, community organizations, and internal stakeholders. The Director will develop, manage, and improve various programs, including Integrated Education & Training (IETs), micro-credentials, soft skills training, minors’ literacy programs, and employer-aligned credentials. This position requires performance monitoring of enrollment, retention, articulation, credential attainment, and employment outcomes, utilizing data for continuous improvement and strategic decision-making. The role also involves administrative and systems management, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of student data and performance metrics across multiple systems. Additionally, the Director will ensure compliance with state, federal, and grant requirements, promote high standards of program quality, and demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and integrity. The position holds fiscal and budget authority for Continuing Education, directs grant development and management, and collaborates with academic leadership to ensure articulation pathways. The Director will represent the division in various meetings and initiatives, foster cross-departmental collaboration, and serve as a decision-maker for escalated concerns. This leadership role involves supervision and performance management of staff, providing visionary leadership, engaging stakeholders, utilizing data for decision-making, and creating systems to support student success and outcomes.
