About The Position

Alive Church is seeking an experienced Director of Content & Digital Growth to lead digital strategy, audience development, and creative direction across YouTube, podcasts, social media, email, and emerging platforms. This strategic leadership role is responsible for growing our digital reach, developing compelling content, maintaining creative excellence, and leading the teams and partners responsible for execution. The ideal candidate combines strong creative judgment with analytical thinking and can turn content performance into measurable audience growth.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in digital content strategy, audience growth, YouTube, podcasting, social media, digital marketing, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success producing measurable digital audience growth.
  • Strong understanding of YouTube analytics, including CTR, retention, watch time, subscriber behavior, titles, and thumbnails.
  • Experience developing and repurposing long-form and short-form content.
  • Strong creative judgment in storytelling, hooks, positioning, and audience behavior.
  • Ability to interpret analytics and turn findings into actionable strategy.
  • Experience leading editors, designers, agencies, contractors, or production teams.
  • Strong project-management, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • High initiative, ownership, sound judgment, and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead growth strategies across YouTube, video podcasts, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, email, and other relevant platforms.
  • Analyze performance to determine which topics, formats, hooks, titles, thumbnails, and distribution strategies produce results.
  • Lead long-form and short-form content strategy, including topic selection, content positioning, repurposing, calls to action, audience retention, and movement from social platforms to long-form and owned audiences.
  • Review messages, podcasts, teaching, books, resources, events, leadership and family content, and existing archives to identify strong opportunities for distribution.
  • Establish and maintain creative standards across video, audio, editing, photography, graphics, thumbnails, captions, podcast presentation, and visual identity.
  • Direct editors, designers, production partners, contractors, and other creative resources by providing clear priorities, briefs, deadlines, feedback, and expectations.
  • Maintain a forward-looking content calendar coordinating releases, campaigns, events, resources, and strategic initiatives.
  • Evaluate audience growth, reach, views, watch time, click-through rate, retention, subscriber growth, engagement, podcast performance, and email acquisition.
  • Clearly communicate what worked, what did not, why, and what should be changed or tested next.
