About The Position

Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village is seeking a Director of Conference Services to lead the planning and flawless execution of conferences, meetings, and events from contract turnover through completion. This role serves as the primary liaison between group clients and hotel operations, ensuring every event is delivered with exceptional service, brand integrity, and financial success. The Director will inspire and lead a high-performing Conference Services team while partnering closely with Rooms and Food & Beverage to create memorable, seamless experiences.

Requirements

  • 4-year College Degree or equivalent experience
  • Luxury hotel Conference Services, Event Planning, minimum of 5 years experience
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills with guests and colleagues, effectively multitask across competing priorities, and proactively anticipate guest needs to deliver exceptional service.
  • Computer skills and knowledge including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Golden Sales & Catering, IDeaS, and Opera
  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
  • Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead the Conference Services team, ensuring accuracy and effectiveness of all written event communications, including BEOs, resumes, proposals, and contracts.
  • Oversee the execution of group and banquet events, reviewing function spaces in advance and making timely decisions to address challenges while balancing guest needs, safety, staffing, and financial goals.
  • Review, audit, and assign all sales-to-conference booking turnovers, leading effective BEO and resume meetings to ensure clear communication and successful event delivery.
  • Manage personally assigned bookings by finalizing event requirements, maximizing revenue through upselling, and ensuring accurate billing and post-event review.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for clients and vendors, participating in pre-con meetings, tastings, site inspections, and maintaining strong relationships throughout the event lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Catering, Food & Beverage, Banquets, and Commercial leadership on forecasting event revenues, operational policies, training, performance evaluations, and overall conference services effectiveness.
