We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Community Day Services to lead our Charleston day program operations. This individual will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day programming, staff management, community engagement, transportation coordination, and compliance with regulatory standards - all while fostering a positive, respectful environment for the individuals we support. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Special Education, or related field.
Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in IDD services, day programs, or related fields.
Strong understanding of community-based programming for individuals with IDD.
Proven skills in team leadership, staff development, and operational oversight.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of care and compliance.
Valid driver’s license and ability to pass all required background checks.

Responsibilities

Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of engaging and meaningful day programming.
Lead, mentor, and support a team of managers and direct support professionals.
Ensure appropriate staffing levels and effective scheduling to meet program needs.
Coordinate transportation logistics to ensure safe and timely access to programs.
Maintain compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.
Promote a culture of respect, inclusion, and responsibility.
Foster relationships with families, guardians, and community partners to enhance programming and collaboration.
Utilize data and feedback to evaluate program effectiveness and make informed decisions.
