About The Position

As the Director of Clinical Services (RN) for our Home Health and Hospice operations in Redding, CA, you will have the opportunity to shape clinical excellence while leading teams dedicated to providing high-quality care in the home. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program and active RN license in CA with a Bachelors (or higher) degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in home healthcare, primary care, or a health facility, including at least 1 year in a supervisory/administrative role (within the last 5 years) or RN with 4 years of experience (within the last 5 years) in those settings, including at least 1 year in a supervisory/administrative role
  • The DCS (or RN designee) must be on-site or immediately accessible by telecommunications during operating hours when patients are receiving services
  • CPR certification, Criminal Background Check, Physical, TB Test and Drug Screen
  • The DCS must have appropriate clinical expertise and participate in Quality Management/QAPI activities and oversight
  • The role must dedicate sufficient hours to ensure quality, adequacy, and supervision of patient care services
  • Extensive knowledge of state and federal home health laws and regulatory standards
  • Excellent management, organizational, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the delivery of clinical and caregiver services, ensuring the highest quality of patient/client care in accordance with home health and hospice laws and regulatory standards
  • Coordinate and manage a team of nurses, therapists, CNAs, aides and social workers to ensure client and patient goals are met
  • Recruit, hire, orient, train, supervise and retain qualified clinicians and caregivers
  • Ensure medical supplies/equipment are delivered and staff are trained on care procedures
  • Assess patient/client needs, resolve issues, and ensure a high level of satisfaction
  • Effectively manage financial resources related to the delivery of quality patient/client care
