The Director of Clinical Risk directs and monitors the Risk Management Program and all of its data platforms to align with industry standards and ensure patient safety and quality of care. This role partners with operational, site, and system executive and medical staff leadership to further risk reduction and patient safety objectives. The Director keeps appropriate management and leadership informed of region and site-based issues and coordinates communication to sites from the system. They partner with senior and executive and medical staff leadership to identify and facilitate the development and implementation of risk reduction measures in all areas of healthcare operations. The Director also directs and coordinates health outcomes, risk identification, loss prevention, and claims management to support patient care quality and address potential financial, physical, and reputational risks. They identify high-risk areas and direct proactive risk assessments and mitigation strategies. Additionally, the Director participates in site and system-level safety meetings and weekly risk huddles, strategizes educational needs, and identifies content experts and speakers. The role involves designing and directing the work of assigned areas, selecting, coaching, and developing teams, managing organizational talent, and designing processes for performance recognition and improvement. The Director is also responsible for developing and/or recommending operating and capital budgets and ensuring adherence to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and applicable policies, regulations, and laws.
