About The Position

Charlotte Eye Ear Nose & Throat Associates (CEENTA) is the premier multi-specialty eye, ear, nose, and throat practice serving the Carolinas. Our mission is to deliver comprehensive, high-quality, and ethical care while fostering a supportive and collaborative environment for physicians and employees alike. CEENTA is seeking an experienced Director of Clinic Operations to lead and optimize the clinical, administrative, operational, and financial performance of our multi-site outpatient clinics. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role oversees Operations Managers and works closely with physician leadership and ancillary departments to ensure operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and an exceptional patient experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinic/practice management experience required, demonstrating progressive leadership responsibility in healthcare operations.
  • Strong business acumen, healthcare operations leadership, EHR proficiency, excellent communication.

  • Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, direct, and manage outpatient clinic operations including patient flow, scheduling, staffing models, and resource utilization.
  • Lead and develop Operations Managers and Supervisors through coaching, performance management, and professional development.
  • Foster strong, collaborative relationships with physicians and clinical staff to support operational alignment and practice success.
  • Ensure patient and staff safety through continuous evaluation and enhancement of safety protocols.
  • Monitor EHR dashboards, reports, and operational metrics to optimize clinic performance.
  • Ensure staffing flexibility and resource redeployment to meet patient demand and service needs.
  • Actively participate in CEENTA committees and lead special operational projects as assigned.
  • Direct and achieve financial objectives established by executive leadership.
  • Review monthly financial statements and provide input into annual budget development.
  • Optimize visit volume, staffing efficiency, revenue cycle performance, and patient payment collection.
  • Identify and implement innovative revenue-generating and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Support vendor management, business agreements, and capital equipment forecasting.
  • Champion service excellence, patient satisfaction, and patient safety initiatives.
  • Respond to and resolve patient concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with providers and staff to improve patient experience and satisfaction metrics.
  • Implement and monitor quality and process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and CEENTA policies.
  • Ensure staff training, certifications, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Lead operational onboarding and ongoing training programs in partnership with Human Resources.
  • Maintain current knowledge of regulatory requirements and educate staff accordingly.
  • Communicate effectively through regular meetings, one-on-ones, and departmental updates.
  • Lead and support organizational change initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
