About The Position

The Director of Client Project Management is responsible for managing a team of multidisciplinary professionals, advancing Eocene’s sustainability strategy, and leading client project management and delivery. This role will deepen Eocene’s position as a provider of forward-thinking sustainability services while ensuring seamless integration across field operations, technology platforms, and environmental compliance offerings. The Director of Client Project Management will also serve as a client-facing leader who will build business through strong relationships, identifying strategic sustainability opportunities, and ensuring exceptional service delivery.

  • Ability to delegate effectively, empower managers, and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
  • Skilled in managing change, resolving conflict, and aligning teams around strategic priorities.
  • Ability to work across a diverse professional group and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills.
  • Proven success overseeing complex, multi-disciplinary sustainability projects and ensuring alignment across service areas.
  • Ability to evaluate options, assess risks, and make decisions that support long-term organizational objectives.
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills, including identifying emerging trends, regulatory shifts, and other opportunities.
  • Knowledge of sustainability technology tools, data platforms, and industry best practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Environmental science, Sustainability, Agriculture, Engineering, or related fields
  • 10+ years of professional experience in Sustainability or related fields

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Natural Resources, or related fields, or an MBA.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership Contribute to the development of division‑level goals, budgets, service frameworks, and multi‑year growth strategies.
  • Identify emerging sustainability trends, regulatory drivers, and technology opportunities that inform strategic direction.
  • Represent Eocene at client meetings, industry conferences, regulatory engagements, and other external events.
  • Team Leadership & Management Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of sustainability professionals.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
  • Partner with direct managers to assess staffing needs and ensure team members have the skills and knowledge required for success.
  • Support managers with employee engagement, development, and retention initiatives.
  • Program & Project Oversight Ensure seamless coordination across complex, multi‑service sustainability projects.
  • Oversee a portfolio of initiatives including climate action planning, environmental quantification, ESG strategy, and resilience planning.
  • Monitor project performance, risk management, financial metrics, and client satisfaction to ensure high‑quality delivery.
  • Establish and achieve annual business strategic priorities and quarterly personal goals and controls.
  • Present to Wright Executive Leadership and various management teams during regular and ad hoc meetings.
  • Collaborate on and make decisions regarding Eocene operating policies and procedures within your area of expertise.
  • Indirectly guide sustainability professional by providing subject matter expertise, technical direction, and employee development.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a diverse team of sustainability professionals.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
