The Director of Carrier Partnerships position is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing carrier capacity to ensure customer freight is moved safely, on time, and profitably. The role builds strategic carrier partnerships, secures transportation solutions for truckload and expedited shipments, manages shipment execution, and drives operational excellence through proactive communication and problem resolution. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation or a related field preferred
  • 3-5+ years of experience in carrier sales, freight brokerage, truckload operations, transportation sales, or expedited logistics
  • Proven experience negotiating rates with carriers and securing capacity in a fast-paced logistics environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Independence, professionalism, and interpersonal skills
  • Organization and time management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytic skills with attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Build, grow and manage the Truckload and Expedite carrier network of reliable partners
  • Develop and maintain a strong network of truckload, expedited and specialized transportation providers to support customer shipping requirements
  • Collaborate with Operations, Sales, and Account Management teams to develop transportation solutions that meet customer expectations and profitability goals
  • Provide proactive problem resolution for service disruptions, capacity shortages, missed appointments, and other transportation exceptions
  • Ensure carriers comply with company standards, contractual requirements, insurance requirements, safety regulations and applicable transportation laws
  • Negotiate freight rates while maintaining profitability and service quality
  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry regulations, transportation best practices, and emerging logistics technologies
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed
