Responsibilities

  • Leading and supervising district maintenance and custodial staff.
  • Developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs.
  • Managing district facilities, grounds, athletic facilities, and vehicle fleet.
  • Planning and overseeing construction, renovation, and capital improvement projects.
  • Developing and administering the annual Buildings and Grounds budget.
  • Managing purchasing, contracts, and vendor relationships.
  • Ensuring compliance with OSHA/VOSHA, AHERA, EPA, ADA, fire and life safety requirements, indoor air quality, water quality, and other applicable regulations.
  • Collaborating with school administrators to support safe, efficient, and well-maintained schools.
  • Responding to facility emergencies and leading emergency preparedness efforts.
  • Promoting energy efficiency, sustainability, and long-range facilities planning.
