About The Position

The Director of Beverage provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all beverage programs across the stadium, including concessions, premium clubs, suites, bars, and special events. This role ensures exceptional guest experience while driving revenue growth, maintaining compliance, and delivering innovative beverage offerings in a high-volume sports and entertainment environment. This role leads large-scale event execution, ensuring all beverage locations are fully operational, properly staffed, and aligned with company, league, and partner expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 7–10+ years of leadership in beverage or hospitality.
  • Experience in high-volume venues such as stadiums or arenas.
  • ServSafe Alcohol Certification.
  • Strong financial, operational, and inventory expertise.
  • Leadership experience in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

  • TIPS Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all beverage operations across stadium venues including bars, portable locations, and premium spaces.
  • Ensure all locations are properly set, stocked, and operational prior to event start.
  • Direct execution of game days, concerts, and major events.
  • Monitor service delivery to maintain speed, quality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure post-event breakdown, cleaning, and reset of all beverage locations.
  • Establish SOPs and maintain operational readiness standards.
  • Maintain full P&L responsibility including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Oversee inventory management including pars, transfers, and physical counts.
  • Ensure proper receiving, storage, and rotation across all locations.
  • Investigate variances and implement controls to minimize loss and shrinkage.
  • Manage beverage cost percentages and labor efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate reporting, reconciliation, and documentation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and partners.
  • Execute sponsorship agreements including branding and activations.
  • Coordinate product ordering, deliveries, and event-specific needs.
  • Negotiate pricing and identify new revenue opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws and safety standards.
  • Maintain required licenses and certifications.
  • Conduct inspections of bars and storage areas.
  • Oversee incident reporting and issue resolution.
  • Recruit, train, and lead beverage managers and staff.
  • Conduct pre-event meetings covering expectations and safety.
  • Drive performance management and accountability.
  • Support teams during peak operations.
  • Drive revenue through premium offerings and upselling.
  • Partner with culinary, marketing, and sales teams.
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality service standards.
  • Use data and feedback for continuous improvement.
